This abstract painting was created in Painter while I was busy learning how to use the software and a Wacom graphic tablet & pen a really long time ago. I really enjoyed painting this - it was my first foray into seriously using pinks & purples & oranges together and I was very pleased with how it turned out! None of the swirls or blobs of color look angry or threatening at all.
It is very colorful. Many years ago, I had a low resolution small graphic of this painting on my website, advertising the fact it was available online as a poster print.
Someone had saved that small picture and used it ... tiled ... as the wallpaper for their website. The text for their website was completely unreadable with this painting underneath it ... I did not have the heart to tell them just how awful their website looked using my painting as their wallpaper, let alone chastise them for theft. I figured they were getting their just desserts having an awful looking website!

I am an Iowa native who lived in the state about 40 years who then lived in Texas for the next 20 years. In November 2010, I moved to South Dakota. In August 2019, I moved to the Charlotte area of North Carolina. I am a hobby photographer as well as both a Hobby Artist and a Professional Artist. I work in Watercolors, India Inks, Iridescent Inks and digital pixie-ons. I generally use 140 lb watercolor paper for my traditional artwork. I used to paint in oils .. using the Bob Ross methods/paint .. but arthritis & fibromyalgia took that away from me .. digital painting returned that creative ability to me! I used to use Corel Painter but it has gotten too expensive for me to keep up with the yearly upgrades .. plus the newer versions...
